The primary objective of this thesis is to enhance our understanding of chromatin contribution to light signalling by screening for the gun (genomes-uncoupled) phenotype in transgenic plant lines carrying impaired chromatin modifiers. To achieve this, the study used RT-qPCR to analyse gene expression in mutant plants under chloroplast-damaging conditions. These expression profiles were then compared with those of wild-type plants under similar conditions.

The head of the commission welcome the student and the members of the commission, all members of the commission except the supervisor were present. The student presented the anterograde and retrograde signalling, the studied molecules, the aims, methods used, and results together with the discussion.
The supervisor and the opponent presented their reviews, and the student answered the opponent’s questions. The answers were mostly incomplete and incorrect and the student did not show knowledge of the topic and the performed methods and experiments.
3 x failed, 2 x good, 1x very good, final result good
