Course content
|
Course is aimed at the one of the following group each year: Rotifera, Cladocera, Copepoda Content of practices: - morphology and anatomy - systematics anf taxonomy - ecology - determination

Learning outcomes
|
The course increases capability to determine aquatic invertebrate organisms, mainly Cladocera, Copepoda and Rotifera, but also several others (aquatic Acari, Ostracoda etc.). The goal is to provide comprehensive information regarding taxa distribution, determination literature and methods of the manipulation with the specimens. Practical determination is included.
Student will be able to determine invertebrate plankton organisms.

Course introduces to plankton determination and does not require specific knowledge.
