Course content
Content of practicals: Three days of excursions and two evenings of identifying lichens in a field station using microscopic characters.

  • Preparation for classes - 32 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Common lichen species are shown and their ecology and diagnostic characters are emphasized. The course provides information, how to identify lichen samples using basic lichenological literature. The course is for everybody, who needs / would like to know something about lichens.
Students will receive knowledge on basic lichen species (their identification and biology).

Completed highschool education

Oral examination

Recording and identification of ten subjectively chosen lichen species.
