Course content
Content of lectures: Morphology and anatomy of woody plants; ecological physiology of woody plants; systematic overview of gymnosperm and angiosperm woody species. Content of practices: Identification of tree species in the field. There is one day excursion to Průhonice Castle Park and Dendrological Garden near Prague . There are also excursions to parks in Budweis.

To provide an overview of the taxonomy, ecology, geographical range and practical use of woody plants with special attention to species native to Europe or commonly grown in Europe. Practical identification of woody species.
