Course content
4 full day field trips and evenings on field mycology (specimens, identification, small individual projects)

Learning activities and teaching methods
Demonstration, Excursion
  • Field trip - 32 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 16 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Identification of common fungal species and practical knowledge about their ecology (associated trees, vegetation, substrate). Try the work of professional mycologists and contribute to knowledge on fungi of South Bohemia.
Practical knowledge of common fungi and their ecology. Better understanding of field mycological research.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Attendance at excursions, practical knowledge of common fungal species. Work on scientific and popularization outputs of excursions.
