Course content
6 field trips around České Budějovice, sampling and their subsequent microscopic evaluation. Before the course start, 1 optional lecture with basic information about determination and main groups of algae.

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration, Excursion, Practical training
  • Field trip - 30 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students will learn the basic methods of sampling and determination of cyanobacteria and algae; they will learn important determining features of common groups.

Development of laboratory protocols

The student must participate on at least 4 field trips.
