Learning outcomes
This course is primarily intended for bachelor students of joint Linz-Ceske Budejovice - Biological chemistry - program. The students will get acquainted with basic laboratory work and molecular biology methods.
Students will be able to perform basic methods in molecular biology in laboratories, as nucleic acid isolation, PCR, cloning and gel electrophoresis.
Prerequisites
It is recommended to attend the KMB 219 course.
Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Systematic student observation, Test, Development of laboratory protocols
Active participation in lessons, absences possible only by prior arrangement. At the end of the course the student will prepare a report on the laboratory work.
