Course content
Content of practices: 1. Basics of classical photography. Photographical equipments and accessories. Negative and positive process. Fotorecipes. Evaluation of photographs. Archivation of photomaterials. 2. Basics and ways of photographical documentation in field. Photography of plants, animals, biotopes, experimental fields. 3. Scientific macrophotography and close-up photography. 4. Basics of BW and color classical microphotography in optical microscope. Evaluation of photographic images in optical microscopy. 5. Basics of computer technique with aim to use in photographic technique. Hardware and software. Basics of computer graphic. Adjustment of images on PC and printing. 6. Special photographic methods. 7. Digital photography- basics. 8. Special application of digital photography in biology. 9. Methods of image digitalization in biology. 10. Basics of use of classical film techniques and video in biology. 11. Basics of use of digital film techniques and video in biology. 12. Basics of use of photographic (classical and digital) , computer and videotechniques in presentation of scientific results. 13. Internet as important source of information for classical and digital photography. 14. Special actions and projects.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Graphic and art activities

Learning outcomes
Aim of course is to present recent photographic and film technique usable in biological disciplines. Emphasis is laid to gain of basics of the field including practical skills during photographing together with following work in dark room (digital or classical).

Analysis of creative work (musical, visual, literary), Interim evaluation

Attendance and active participation at least 80% Student creates and presents his work/photography with a proper description.
