Course content

Přednášky: Birds and man introduction. Breeding facilities, location. Food, basic principles of nutrition. Hygienic principles of breeding, overview of basic diseases (prevention, diagnosis, treatment), care of bird health, principles of handling. Breeding in captivity - general basics of care for breeding birds. Overview of individual groups of breeding birds with specifics of their biology and breeding: ducks and swans, pheasants, quails and grouses, pigeons, paContent of tutorials/seminar: Visit to selected breeding facilities.rrots, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, songbirds.
