Course content
Content of tutorials/seminar: 1) Sources of scientific literature, methods of its search, types of scientific literature, work with WOS 2) Writing a scientific text, citing literature, plagiarism, writing an essay, work in MS Word 3) Diploma thesis writing, requirements, structure, specifics, organization of literature, example of work with citation software, how to start writing. 4) Group reading of a selected scientific paper. The example serves to illustrate the basic understanding of a scientific article. Subsequently, students choose one article and write up independent summary, which they submit at the end of the course. 5) Presentation: PowerPoint, examples of good and bad practice 6) to 12) Students' own presentations based on a popular scientific text. Participation in the discussion. Providing feedback to the presenter.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Projection, Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies)

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should be able to work with scientific literature (search for quality publications on the topic, read and understand the scientific information, summarize the main conclusions of a paper). The student will know the basic rules of writing a scientific text, including the ethics of citation the sources of information. He/She should be able to prepare an appropriate presentation and provide feedback to colleagues.
