Course content
Content of lectures: Content of practices: Overview of social organisation and mating systems in African mammals and other animals kept in ZOO Dvůr Králové nad Labem. Interpretation of observations

  • Field trip - 50 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Combination of theoretical knowledge about the studied species with direct observation. The exercise takes place in the Dvůr Králové nad Labem Zoo. It mainly involves observing the behavior of African ungulates, especially antelopes, zebras and rhinos.
This is a four-day block tutorial taking place in the Dvůr Králové ZOO It runs in odd years
Prerequisites
Completion of a basic course in vertebrate zoology and a basic course in ethology
