1. History, basic characteristics and terminology and specifics. 2. Specifics of application design for cloud deployment, scalability, self recovery, ... 3. Basics of security, data storage, selection of cloud technologies. 4. Application management, configuration management, monitoring, automated deployment.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will get acquainted with the basics of cloud systems and terminology used. They will go through the specifics of developing and securing applications for cloud deployments with optimal scalability. In the next part, they will get an overview of selected cloud technologies and the possibilities of using existing cloud services.
Basic overview of the possibilities and pitfalls of cloud solutions.

Practical experience with installing a personal computer operating system.
