Course content
This is a weekly internship in a computer room. The aim of the internship is to teach students: "Design of a" virtual data center "on a physically single computer. "Distribution of physical resources among virtual machines. "Installing a virtual environment. "Installing individual virtual machines. "Network configuration between virtual machines, access from virtual networks to external network. "Linking communication between virtual machines on physically different computers. "Connecting a physical device to a virtual machine. "Virtual machine monitoring.

  • Class attendance - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 10 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to design and practically install a private Cloud on Microsoft technology.
The student will be able to design and create a virtual environment for a specific purpose, including the choice of appropriate hardware and software.
Prerequisites
Practical experience with installing a personal computer operating system. Basic knowledge of operating systems (eg in the scope of the course UAI / 684 Operating Systems I) and computer networks (eg in the scope of the course UAI / 699 Computer Networks I).

Assessment methods and criteria
Development of laboratory protocols

Course participation and final test at 80 %.
