Course content
The subject "Document Management in Official Practice" is a subject in which students acquire basic skills, both theoretical and practical, in the field of document management in both analogue and digital form. The course is essentially interdisciplinary. It covers topics in computer science, information processing and analysis, authenticity and document authenticity. The rapid emergence of e-government in the Czech Republic, visibly accelerated by the launch of the data box system and the obligation to operate electronic filing systems in the vast majority of public institutions in the Czech Republic, has created a demand for a completely new specialisation on the labour market. In developed countries of Europe and the rest of the world, the title Record Manager has been adopted for a person with such a specialisation. This demand has increased even more with the launch of the information system of basic registers and the operation of the National Digital Archive, other digital archives and technology centres of regions and municipalities with extended competence.
