Course content
|
Content of exercises: Communication, discussion, observation, poll, questionnaire. Teacher's personality. Teaching style and teacher competence. Preparation for lessons. Organization of teaching. Communication. Motivation to learn. Teacher's authority x discipline. Current educational problems (bullying, truancy, smoking, alcohol, drugs, mobile in education, etc.). Analysis, discussion.

Learning outcomes
|
In the Introduction to the Practice of Professional Teaching, students - future teachers - will learn about the challenges that await them when they enter the teaching profession and acquire the skills needed to successfully deal with these situations through interpretation and discussion with experienced teachers with many years of experience. The main aim of the course is to combine theoretical knowledge with practical issues in education.
Graduates will become familiar with model situations in the future workplace and learn to respond to them in an adequate way.

Prerequisites

The minimum requirement for students is the knowledge acquired after completing the bachelor's study program.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Interview
Requirement for successful completion of the course is the student's active participation in seminars. Student' independence and creativity, the ability to synthesis, analysis and collaboration will be evaluated during the exercises. The course will be finished by credit.
