  • Class attendance - 32 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
To acquire practical knowledge of common procedures which are performed during analyses of real samples using chromatographic methods with mass spectrometry detection.
Student will acquire basic knowledge of complete procedure for real sample analysis, which covers all steps from sample preparation to quantitative analysis, including method optimization.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of principles of gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and mass detection (target analysis). Good knowlegde of chemical nomenclature and chemical calculations.

Assessment methods and criteria
Development of laboratory protocols

To pass the course, student must perform all laboratory exercises and hand in all laboratory protocols worked out in sufficient quality.
