  • Class attendance - 26 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Introductory lab training course designed to repeating and improving the fundamental laboratory skills.
Students acquire skills in the very basic laboratory techniques used in chemical laboratory (weighing, filtration, vacuum filtration, centrifugation, preparing solutions of precise concentrations, acid-base titration with indicator. Students master the fundamentals in preparing final reports on experimental results of laboratory experiments including correct referring to sources of information.
Prerequisites
An introductory course without any requirement for previous laboratory experience. No special knowledge and competences are expected for enrolment to the course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Test, Development of laboratory protocols

To pass the course, all laboratory experiments must be performed, reports of selected experiments must be completed, 60 % score reached in the final test
