Course content
Content of lectures: Contents of lectures and exercises: 1. Introduction to the SolidWorks program environment, project solution. 2. Solidworks composition, formats, outputs, controls. 3. Drawing entities, sketches, relationships in sketches, manipulation of sentiments. 4. Dimensions in sketch, offset, mirror and bevel. 5. Circular field. 6. Linear fields. 7. Reference geometry, reference planes and axes. 8. Sketching on reference planes, creating parts, adding and removing by extrusion and rotation. 9. Modeling of plane elements, practical exercises. 10. Modeling of rotating elements, practical exercises. 11. Creation of drawing documentation, drawing environment. 12. Practicing modeling of parts according to the model, assignment of credit work. 13. Presentation of credit work. Content of tutorials/seminar: Exercises follow lecture topics. Specific examples from professional technical practice are selected for the exercise. The model is either the models themselves, or drawings of real machine parts.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of design and CAD environment, processing and storing data in the SolidWorks program. During exercises, the student solves practical tasks in construction, from the design itself to the final output of the 3D model, including technical documentation.

Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of technical drawing and reading of technical documentation. Students are offered the possibility of individual consultations with the teacher and processing of additional tasks with the solution. In case of interest there is a possibility of working on a computer in our labs when there is no scheduled lesson.
