Course content
|
The course will focus on specific problems of contemporary physics from various fields of physics. We will predominantly look at attractive and interesting topics, such as relativity theory, quantum physics, cosmology, origin of the universe, origin of mass, string theory, time in physics, metamaterials, etc. These topics will be presented in accessible and rather popular way. The specific topic will be selected on the basis of the actual situation in the field. It is expected that students will actively participate - the topics for the next lecture will be announced in advance so it is assumed the students will actively search for information related to the selected topic and will participate in discussions. To fulfil the course, each student will also select a topic that he/she will present during at the end of the course.
