Course content
|
Content of this course is pedagogical interpretation of mathematics methods and theories with the focus to secondary school curriculum, work method statements, organization of math teaching, explanation of educational materials and resources. Thematic units follow secondary schools curriculum, part of this is supported by mathematical software. 1. Planning and preparation for teaching, motivation of students, parts of lessons, feedback, preparation of educational materials and record keeping. 2. Teaching and assessment methods in mathematics, influence and importance of ICT using. 3. Students with different levels of mathematical talent, communication with students in mathematic. Methodology of teaching thematic units: 4. Functions - graphs. 5.-6. Goniometry and trigonometry, applications. 7.-8. Combinatorics. 8.-9. Probability. 10.-11.Statistics, data processing, use of mathematical software. 12.-13. Sequences and series.

Learning outcomes
|
This course follows the course Didactics of mathematics I with a goal to train students to manage their teaching at secondary school.
Students will acquire skills necessary for managing their practical stay at secondary schools.

Prerequisites
|
Perfect knowledge of secondary school curriculum on a high-school level. This course follows the course Didactics of mathematics I.

|
Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Test, Interim evaluation
- active attendance of practicals - at least 70% points from one written test - exam: successfully answered questions from one topic
