Lecture topics: 1. Introduction to Economic Geography. Basic geographic concepts. 2. The World System - Wallerstein's Theory. Development of the world system. 3. Development and structure of the human population. 4. Resources and supplies. 5. Introduction to localization theory. 6. Spatial Systems - Concept of the Region. 7. Flows and models of spatial connections. 8. Networks and connectivity. 9. Nodes and their hierarchy. 10. Rural structures. 11. Urban structures. 12. Spatial diffusion. 13. Current problems of economic geography. Exercises thematically follow the lectures.

Learning outcomes

Students and students are able to clarify the importance of the complexity of space for business activity, to analyze the diversity of places on the basis of geographical concepts and to apply geographic structures when assessing the location of the business plan.

Written examination, Combined exam, Test, Seminar work
Credit: processing of credits exercises in the Moodle e-learning system (at least 60% of the course assignments given in the course - correctly and in the required quality - it is necessary to submit the solution for all assigned tasks) Exam: exam written and oral, minimum for successful completion of written test (test): 60% of the correct answers.
