Lectures: 1 - Subjective, mission, methods and instruments of economic and social statistics 2 - Factual, spatial and time comparison. Index numbers 3 - Descriptive index, its construct and classification 4 - Aggregate index in avarage form, in agregate form 5 - Price statistics 6 - Rate of inflation, statistical deflation, comparability of price index 7 - Monitoring of economic process by national economy Aggregats 8 - Production statistics 9 - National accounts 10 - Macroaggregats 11 - Statistical investigation in area economic activity 12 - Employment, unemployment, wages, labour costs 13 - Productivity statistics 14 - Area comparison Seminars: 1 - Statistical unit, statistical indicators and their classification 2 - Chain index, basic index, growth rate and average growth rate 3 - Individual index simple and composite 4 - Index of variable composition and its usage for analysis 5 - Agregate price index and Agregate volume index 6 - Analytical index 7 - Logarithmic method, method of successive change 8 - Price statistics 9 - Production statistics 10 - Aggregats 11 - Labour and wages 12 - Productivity 13 - Area comparison

Learning outcomes
Objective of subject is explain to students the way of origin of statistical data about economic and social effects and processes, to introduce most important statistical indicators presented by national statistical service in this area. Part of course is also explanation some statistical methods of data analyses in economic field including their evaluation and explication relationship between particular kinds of statistical indicators.
Student develops ability to understand statistical data, which characterize social economics effects and basic procedure and method applicable at its evaluation.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisite course for the course ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL STATISTICS (HSS).

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Credit Requirements: Examination Requirements:The examination is composite (written test and verbal examination). Written test contains test questions and short calculations. Verbal examination composes of two questions.
