Examination topics: 1. ALGORITHM, basic concepts, basic data structures - linked list, stack, queue 2. COMPLEXITY OF ALGORITHMS, basic complexity classes, examples of algorithms, basic sorting algorithms, binary search tree. 3. BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS. basic concepts, components of the information system, requirements for information system 4. LIFE CYCLE, information systems acquisition, the implementation phase, cost structure, information systems development 5. ARCHITECTURE OF IS, types of architectures, classification according to IS management level: TPS, MIS, EIS, types of information systems and their purpose, the term "transaction system" 6. DEVELOPMENT OF IS, software development history, the diversity of software development compared to other disciplines, software development methodologies - traditional, agile 7. ERP SYSTEMS, major producers of ERP systems, modules, CRM systems and their functions and applications, business intelligence - business intelligence tools 8. PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEMS MES, the goal and purpose of MES systems, production management systems - batch production, product identification, industrial interface 9. SYSTEM INTEGRATION, definitions, conditions for a successful system integration, system integration effects, risk components of system integration, system integrator, four concepts of systems integration, ITIL standards 10. REEINGENEERING, process management, process reengineering levels, assumptions of successful reengineering, reengineering principles, project, process management, types of business processes, 11. OUTSOURCING AND SAAS, types of outsourcing, outsourcing options in terms of ownership of assets, examples, reasons for the introduction of outsourcing, benefits, hidden costs, Software as a Service (SaaS) 12. SECURITY INFORMATION SYSTEMS, information systems security management according to ISO 27001, network security 13. E-BUSINESS, business models and concepts, infrastructure, e-commerce, HTTP protocol, network model of TCP/IP, marketing in commerce, analytical tools in e-commerce 14. DATABASE SYSTEMS - characteristics, history of databases, database system architectures, database systems - comparisons and trends, examples of some database systems 15. DATABASE DESIGN, DATABASE MODELS, CONCEPTUAL SCHEME - basic principles, conceptual ER model - entity, relationships, attributes, example 16. RELATIONAL MODEL, RELATIONAL MODEL, RELATIONAL SCHEMA, relation, column, attribute, domain, super-key, key, primary key, candidate key, foreign key 17. DATABASE LANGUAGES. SQL language, basic commands, database normalization. First, second, third, Boyce-Codd Normal Forms and the connections between them 18. Learning outcomes
The content of this course is the state final examination in the field of economic informatics. Students are required to prove their mastery of basic terminology, theoretical principles and operations in economic informatics and their concrete application in economical practice of organizations. The first part of the examination covers issues of algorithms, second part of enterprise Informatics and the last part covers the basic principles of database systems.
Students know basic terminology, theoretical principles, and method used in the field of economic informatics. Students are able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Students have to prove their complex understanding of the basic terminology and principles of information systems and their application in enterprise practice, they have to be able to respond to particular questions and to apply theoretical knowledge in practical examples.
