1 - The concept of information, information sources 2 - Primary and secondary information sources 3 - On-line library catalogues 4 - Bibliography databases 5 - Citing information resources 6 - The validity of information, plagiarism, the Internet 7 - Completing graphical materials 8 - Simple sound management 9 - Simple video management 10 - The structure of scientific publication 11 - Preparing the bachelor thesis. 12 - Specifics of oral presentation 13 - Preparing an oral presentation

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
The course is targeted at the practical utilisation of information technologies with an emphasis on scientific work. It consists of three parts, characterized as searching, management and presentation of information. The student will complete partial homework assignments. An e-learning environment is exploited throughout the course.
The student is oriented in an e-learning environment. He/she will perform practical skills in the area of searching, management and presentation of information: citation norms, bibliography databases, simple management of graphical, audio and video materials, preparation of scientific texts, basic principles of oral presentation.

The course has no prerequisities.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Analysis of student's work activities (technical works)

Completing cca 10 partial projects in an e-learning environment. Final presentation.
