Seminars: 1. Job applications, CV; 2. Organization and market research; 3. Enquiries & Replies to them; 4. Quotations/ Tenders; 5. Additional changes, corrections, cancellation, demand; 6. Orders; 7. Price and payment terms; 8. Dispatch, invoicing, collection problems; 9. Complaints and adjusstments; 10. Transportation and insurance; 11. Electronic correspondence; 12. In-company communication; 13. Miscellaneous correspondence; 14. Final test

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to master skills in written businness communication. Adequate accuracy in both form and content of correspondence is essential for successful running of a business. Two business letters as exam tests are included in the course.
Students acquire necessary knowledge and skills at choosing a suitable form, structure, and style of a letter, at choice of adequate language means. Stress is laid upon terminology in business.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of secondary school grammar and vocabulary needed for passing the school.leaving exam.

Test

Credit Requirements: Obtaining at least 60% in each of two tests.
