Course content
1. Introduction and basic notions 2. Information systems in control of operation in commerce 3. Legal regulations in commerce 4. Human resources in commerce 5. Management of wholesale 6. Technology of retail operations 7. Management of retail units 8. Specifics of management of chain units 9. Operating particular formats 10. Inventory check and loses prevention in operating units

  • Preparation for classes - 25 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge on importance, aspects, elements and relations of technology and commercial processes in wholesale units and retail units.
Student will get knowledge of promblems and basic skills in control of particular operations in commerce and management of operating units.
Prerequisites
Students have basic knowledge of terminology in commerce and of the environment of commerce. Students have attended the course Trade and services.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Credit Requirements: Elaboration and presentation of a seminary task on a selected topic. Partial tasks during the seminar. Full attendance. Examination Requirements: Students pass a written test on problems being discussed during the semester and on problems explained in the prescribed literature. A 60% pass-mark in the test is demanded. The test is followed by an oral examination.
