Lectures: 1 - basics concepts of the Theory of law 2 - introduction to the Constitutional law 3 - fundamentals of Public administration 4 - fundamentals of Land law 5 - Principles of the Civil law 6 - Obligations 7 - fundamentals of Labour law 8 - liability in Labour law 9 - fundamentals of Criminal law 10 - fundamentals of Business law 11 - business according to the Trades Licensing Act 12 - companies and cooperatives 13 - commercial obligations and the basics of procedural law 14 - insolvency proceedings Seminars: 1 - state and local administration - administative decisions 2 - contract of purchase and avoidance of a contract according to the Civil Code 3 - contract on transfer of real property 4 - employment contract, agreements about works practised besides employment 5 - contract of lease of non-residential premises 6 - partnership agreement 7 - articles of incorporation of limited liability company 8 - articles of a cooperative 9 - contract of purchase according to the Commercial Code 10 - contract of purchase of hired goods 11 - contract on commercial representation 12 - contract on the lease of means of transport 13 - contract for work 14 - payment order and work-out of an action

Learning outcomes

Students understand basic principles of the legal system of the Czech Republic, with the focus on the law of the Czech Republic. They are able to draw up a contract of purchase on movable, contract for work, lease, employment contract, notice and action.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Seminar work

Credit Requirements: Participation in seminars. Working out specified legal acts. Examination Requirements: During the examination, students demonstrate the knowledge of the basics of public and private law - in particular basic concepts of the Theory of law, the orientation in the Administrative Law, Civil law, Labour law and Land law. Part of the exam may be with regard to its course a presentation of a prepared legal act.
