Course content
Examination topics: A. Heading of Financial Accounting: Updating the accounting curriculum at the current accounting period according to the changes that were adopted in the amendments to the laws by thematic units: 1. Introduction to Accounting as an information system in the enterprise. 2. Fixed assets (tangible, intangible and financial). 3. Accounting relations - receivables and payables. 4. Inventories. 5. Equity and foreign capital. 6. Costs and revenues, profit or loss. 7. Accounting and statements, analysis of data reports. B. Heading of Managerial Accounting: 1. RELATION BETWEEN FINANCIAL, COST AND MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING. Objective, content and forms of managerial accounting, one or two-circuit system of accounting information, costing, controlling, controlling nature and importance, controlling role in strategic and operational management. 2. MANAGEMENT OF EFFICIENCY, ECONOMY AND EFFECTIVENESS. Cost control, cost analysis, break-even point, management costing. 3. CALCULATION SYSTEM. Types of calculations, calculation methods, calculation of variable costs, the absorption costing, calculation systems, costing relationship to corporate profits. 4. BUDGETING Budgeting methods, forms and types of budgets, overhead cost management. 5. RESPONSIBILITY ACCOUNTING, PRICING. management accounting along the line of responsibility, responsibility centers, pricing decisions, pricing. 6. VARIANCE ANALYSIS. The method of standard costs and revenues, differential methods of management efficiency, variance analysis. C. Heading of Accounting (financial) auditing: 1. The audit, its objectives and general principles. 2. Legislative adjustment of audit activities. 3. Ethics in audit activities. 4. The activities of the auditor before the conclusion of the audit engagement. 5. The activities of auditor in identifying risks and determining materiality. 6. The planning of the audit. 7. The Audit evidence and evaluation. 8. Report of the auditor, the audit opinion. 9. Working papers, events between the date of of the financial statements and issuing the audit opinion. 10. Fraud and criminal liability of the auditor. Measures against money laundering activity. D. Heading of International Financial Reporting Standards: 1. Introduction to IFRS. Conceptual framework. U.S. regulations U.S. GAAP. 2. Methodological principles of reporting according to IFRS and U.S. GAAP. 3. The main differences between IFRS and Czech legislation - reporting of assets. 4. The main differences between IFRS and Czech legislation - reporting liabilities. 5. The main differences between IFRS and Czech regulations - cost reporting. 6. The main differences between IFRS and Czech legislation - the recognition of revenue. 7. The main differences between IFRS and Czech legislation - the valuation of items at onset. 8. The main differences between IFRS and Czech legislation - the valuation date of financial statements. 9. The main differences between IFRS and Czech legislation - the principles of the assets. 10. Statements prepared in conditions with IFRS.

The content of this course is the state final examination of business accounting.
The student knows the basic concepts, theoretical principles and methods used in the field of financial and managerial accounting, financial auditing and IFRS/IAS. Students are able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

The student have to prove their complex understanding knowledge of a comprehensive overview of financial and managerial accounting, financial auditing and IFRS/IAS, to respond to specific questions and basic theoretical knowledge applied to examples
