Course content
1. Business and corporate ethics in a market economy 2. Ethics in the historical context of morality and justice 3. Ethical values and principles. Ethics and morality 4. Ethical Management - Methods and Tools. 5. Manager - Ethics in behavior and decisions 6. Implementation of ethical tools into enterprise strategy 7. Corporate Social Responsibility 8. External conditions for business. Ethics, Lobbying, Corruption 9. Dimension of ethics in public administration and non-profit organizations 10. Current ethical issues in management and business

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
  • Semestral paper - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 54 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 16 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The goal of the subject is to provide knowledge in the area of ethics in business; ethical behaviour and decision making by managers of companies looking for competitive advantages in the management of companies; ways of using tools and methods of support for the creation of collective and individual values of the firm; the creation and implementation of ethics and ethical behaviour into the corporate culture; understanding the relationship of corporate social responsibility and ethical managerial decisions in the systems of development and actual problems on national, European and world levels.
Students understand the principles of management and are able to application in practice
Prerequisites
The course is a prerequisite for the course of Management II and Human Resource Management.
