Course content
Lectures: 1. Concept of Personnel management (basic terms and tasks of Personnel management, ensuring administrative processes in Personnel management of the organization). 2. Job design and Job analysis (Work 4.0, a job, a concept of role, job specification, the relation of job analysis to other HR activities, job design approaches, Smart working, job analysis methods). 3. HR planning (labor force supply and demand prediction methods). 4. Recruitment (process and methods, source of recruitment, e-recruitment). 5. Selection of employees (process and methods) and onboarding (aspects and adaptation guidelines). 6. Skills in conducting selection interviews (preparation, planning, assessment of applicants). 7. Staffing and employee termination. 8. Training and development of employees' competencies (effective employee training system, training methods). 9. Performance management (performance appraisal - criterias and performance standards, method of performance appraisal, errors). 10. Well-being a work-life balance (work organization, health and safety, hazard prevention). 11. Creating a work environment (ergonomics, working conditions, workplace climate). 12. The concept of a learning organization (organizational vs. individual learning, principles). 13. New approaches in Personnel management (digitization, AI, employees from generations Y and Z). 14. HR activities in the chosen company. (Lecture from HR manager).

Learning outcomes
The subject is an introduction to the issue of Personnel management in the organization and introduces the principles and procedures of partial HR activities. The aim of the subject is to provide students basic knowledge and skills in the field of Personnel management, which they will use in their daily work either in the role of a manager or, possibly, in the role of a HR officer.

Assessment methods and criteria

Credit requirements: Active participation (fulfillment of assigned tasks on Moodle). Submission of an individual semester project. One credit test written during the last consultation and in dates announced in the Stag system (with a minimum score of 75% required). Semester Project Guidelines Content Relevance: Students are required to elaborate a chosen topic in a presentation format directly related to the subject matter of the course. Incorporation of Practical Application: Each presentation should not only discuss theoretical aspects but also demonstrate practical applications relevant to the chosen topic. Slide Requirement: The presentation must consist of a minimum of 7 slides structured as follows: Title Slide; Table of Contents; Introduction; Topic Discussion; Practical Application; Conclusion; References (APA citation style). Exam requirements: Written exam, 10 open-ended questions from a list updated on Moodle in the 9th week of the semester (with a minimum score of 75% required); possibility of an oral exam in case of meeting the test requirements.
