The aim of the course of Diploma Thesis Seminar 1 is to introduce students to the basic principles of writing graduation works at postgraduate Master's degree level. The course presents writing as a heuristic process, how to focus on the goal of a paper, types of academic papers, how to create a coherent piece of writing, and criteria for assessing academic papers.
Students understand the basic principles of academic writing. They are able to write the introductory, theoretical and methodological part of their Master thesis.

Credit Requirements: Students are asked to present the introductory, theoretical and methodological part of their Master thesis which are written in accordance with the basic principles of academic writing.
