Course content

Human Resources Strategies in a Competitive Environment. 5. Acceptance of Globalisation Process, EU Policy. 6. Personnel Management. Managers Roles. 7. Personnel Management - activities 8. Manpower and Human Potential Development. 9. Work Motivation. Team managing. 10. Productivity. Labour Costs. 11. Quality of Work Environment. Safety, Health. 12. International Dimensions of HRM - Intercultural Management. 13. Culture, Climate, and Ethics. 14. International, European and Worldwide Labour Market.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The Course provides Students with Basic Principles about HRM and an Overview of the Present HRM and Personnel Management trends.
Students understand the principles of Human Resources Management and should be able to apply them in practice.

Credit Requirements: The seminar work Active participation Written test (25 questions, 70% (minimum 17.5 points from 25 points), 30 minutes Seminar work - literature review on the chosen topic: Minimum 8 pages (A4) Minimum 8 references Content of the seminar paper 1) title page 2) content 3) introduction 4) literature review 5) practical application 6) references - APA 6th citation style Exam writing examination - 10 open questions, 50 minutes, 70% (maximum will be 25 points; minimum will be 17,5 points) oral examination (discussion on 2 assigned questions)
