Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Excursion
Learning outcomes
The course of Supply Chain Management should enlarge the knowledge of logistics, especially in the area of material and information flow. Increased emphasize is given to problems of reverse logistics, outsourcing and evaluation of logistic performance, including green logistics. The course contains many examples of logistic chains especially from engineering branches and service sector.
Students will receive knowledge concerning structures of supply chains and the way of their operating. Higher emphasize is given on activities of the key link in the chain and its influence on other links from the view of management. Students will be able to use methods of reverse logistics and evaluate the influence of supply chains on environment.
Prerequisites
The course of Logistics is a prerequisite for the course of Supply chain management.
