Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction to the subject, basic concepts. 2. Historical management development. 3. Strategic management. 4. Planning. 5. Organization. 6. Human Resource Management. 7. Managing people and teams. 8. Theory of work motivation. 9. Communication. 10. Decision Making. 11. Controlling. 12. Corporate culture. 13. New trends in management (a lecture of an expert from practice). 14. Management in a sample organization (a lecture of an expert from practice)

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), E-learning, Individual preparation for exam

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide the theory and practice of management and management functions and activities as performed by the managers. The students will know the approaches, principles, methods and techniques of management and they will be able to compare such knowledge with real working experience.
Students understand the principles of management and their application in a company.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of these problems from intermediate school.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Seminar work

Credit requirements: Submit an individual project. Exam requirements: A written exam - a test (75% success rate), followed by an oral exam.
