Course content
1. Definition and dimensions of Quality, Criteria of Quality, Quality Management, Historical Review of Quality, National Quality Policy 2. Quality Management Systems (QMS). Principles and concepts. Approaches to Quality Management 3. Basic concepts of Total Quality Management, Barriers to TQM implementation, Principles of TQM, Leadership Concepts, Role of Senior Management 4. Quality planning 1, Customer perceptions and satisfaction, Customer Retention, Voice of Customers 5. Quality planning 2, Benchmarking Process in Quality Management, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), House of Quality, QFD Process. 6. Corporate quality policy. The context of the organization. Leadership. Assuring Quality, Quality managerial systems, ISO 9000 series. QMS. EMS, HSMS Industry Standards and GMP. 7. Process management, Implementation of Quality System, Documentation, Quality Auditing 8. Enterprise Quality Management System, Process capability, Lean Management, JIT, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) 9. Performance evaluation and quality improvement. Learning outcomes
Quality management addresses the importance of development, procedures, key principles, quality standards, and quality management control tools. Significant attention is paid to the philosophy of management by Deming, Juran, Ishikawa, Feigenbaum, Taguchi, and Crosby. Attention is also paid to the implementation of quality managerial systems and the introduction of comprehensive quality management in companies, analysis of business processes, quality management systems and standards on international and national levels, and improvement and control of quality management. The course enables students to develop skills and knowledge in the field of quality management of business processes and change management.
Students will acquire knowledge of the principles and tools of quality management, quality management systems (ISO, TQM), process improvement methods, and performance evaluation. They will learn to apply approaches such as Lean Management, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Kaizen to improve organizational quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have a basic understanding of management, business processes, and organizational operations. They should be familiar with fundamental management principles and able to analyze business processes

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Seminar work

Credit requirements: Preparation and presentation of the seminar project, in accordance with the assignment. Test requirements: Passing a written test with a min 60% success rate.
