Course content
|
1. Introduction to the seminar, introduction of topics. 2.-13. Thematic plan will be updated every semester, detailed content in LMS Moodle. Learning outcomes: - the student can read and understand professional texts from their specialization and related fields, and accurately and clearly reproduce their content - the student actively participates in discussions and presentations, expressing opinions and conclusions clearly and in a structured manner - the student develops written and oral communication skills in the professional language, including correct use of terminology and specialized vocabulary - the student is able to conduct a more complex conversation on a given topic (related to the themes discussed in the seminar), express their opinion without preparation, and use advanced argumentative language resources appropriate to the situational context - the student actively masters the grammar covered in the seminar

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the three-semester course Language Exercises I - III is to consolidate and deepen written and oral competences in a professional language. The main emphasis is on improving communication skills not only within the own specialisation but also in other scientific fields - the basis will be reading longer professional texts and listening to lectures (home preparation), their subsequent reproduction at an appropriate language level and discussion, presentation of the results of assigned research, etc.

German language skills on the level C1 (CEFR).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills, Test, Interim evaluation
Active participation in the course, regular preparation, fulfillment of required tasks on a continuous basis, final test containing vocabulary and grammatical exercises. Participation in seminars and related events is obligatory.
