Course content
1. Introduction to the seminar 2. Key historical events and their connexion with the present / Written and electronic correspondence I 3. History and identity / Written and electronic correspondence II 4. Political systems in the Czech republic and in Germany / Written and electronic correspondence III 5. (Not)interest in politics in the young generation / Evaluation 6. Politics and rhetoric, politics and the media / text summary 7. The basic vocabulary and major topics in the news / book reviews 8. Fine art, personalities, significant international events / Handbook text: understanding and own production 9. Architecture: face of a city / Description and comparison diagrams 10. Literature, book fairs, literary translations / Description and comparison of the accompanying illustrations and pictures 11. Cinema in the Czech republic and in Germany / Textual editing and visualization of information I 12. Radio; boom audiobooks / Text editing and visualization of information II 13. Music / Text editing and visualization of information III 14. The final summary

Learning outcomes
The aim of language exercises 7ISU1-4 is to deepen and intensively practice the substance of the courses 7SU1-4. The course focuses on the key competencies of speech - listening comprehension and active reproduction, as well as a separate practical application of selected grammatical phenomena.
Ability to communicate orally and in written form on level B2+.
Prerequisites
Language skills on level B2+.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills, Test, Interim evaluation

Active participation in the course, final test containing vocabulary and grammatical exercises. The participation in the course and attended activities is mandatory. The course will be taught in German.
