Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to learn the basic sector of Linguistics from the perspective of the relationship of language and society. The emphasis is placed on the sociology of language, it means on the role of language in the society.
Students will gain an awareness of the linguistic reality of the German lexika, whose various forms allow insight into current sociocultural issues. Further they acquire overview of language correction in the discourse and language strategies and issues in contact situations.

Prerequisites
|
The subject supposes the level of German language knowledge B2 - C1 of the CEFR and also a basic orientation in intercultural communication.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills
The active participation of students in the classroom, the processing of given tasks, individual solution of selected species issues, preparing for the test and a final presentation.
