Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce the basic history of English writing from its origins in the early Middle Ages to the early 20th century. The lecture analyses the historical and social context of literary production and reflects in detail on the dynamics of literary development in different eras. An analysis of the major works of the canon of older English literature is recommended for this lecture, according to the list provided.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student performance assessment, Test
Written test for credit. Repeatable once, but only if the student achieves a minimum grade of 40%. 70% is required for successful completion.
