1. Definition and main benefits of non-destructive archeology. 2. Methods of archaeological prospection. 3. Methods of site documentation, comparison, advantages and disadvantages. 4. Remote archaeological survey - oblique aerial photography. 5. Remote archaeological survey - perpendicular images and orthophotomaps. 6. Remote archaeological survey - satellite data. 7. Remote archaeological survey - airborne laser scanning. 8. Analytical and synthetic methods of surface collection of artefacts. 9. Anthropogenic terrain relics and their documentation. 10. Geophysical methods in archeology - magnetometry. 11. Geophysical methods in archeology - resistance and other methods. 12. Use of metal detectors. 13. Sampling and micro-probing.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the main methods of non-destructive archeology (aerial archaeology, remote sensing, airborne laser scanning, geophysical prospection, surface survey etc.) In addition to theoretical explanation, the course will also include field exercises and demonstrations of data processing.
