Learning outcomes
|
The exercise brings students into direct contact with movable archaeological finds, especially artifacts. The aim of the exercise is to provide students with a practical introduction to the basic types of artefacts and the application of basic methods of archaeological finds treatment (cleaning, recording, description). Artifacts from various periods from prehistoric to modern times are represented, allowing students to improve their ability to identify and date archaeological sources.
Students will learn the basics of laboratory treatment and processing of archaeological finds (cleaning and washing ceramics, gluing their fragments, reconstructing vessels and filling them with plaster, or the basics of conservation) and acquire theoretical knowledge about the possibilities of modern analyses of artefacts.

Only the basics of occupational safety.
|
Assessment methods and criteria
