Course content
1. Introduction, sources of information and terminology, history of research 2. Overview of artifacts (ceramics, stone industry, etc.) 3. The beginnings of the Neolithic and agriculture 4. Neolithic - LBK culture 5. Neolithic - stroke pottery culture 6. Neolithic - Lengyel culture 7. Funeral rite in the Neolithic 8. Characteristics of Eneolithic, differences from the previous period 9. Changes of human society in the early Eneolithic 10. Early Eneolithic and megalithic monuments 11. Cultural mosaic of the Middle Eneolithic 12. Late Eneolithic - corded ware culture 13. Late Eneolithic - bell beaker culture

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the student with the basic features of the development of the Neolithic and Eneolithic in the Late and Final Stone Age. Attention will be paid primarily to the typology and importance of artifacts and also to the archaeological cultures in our territory, together with the development of these cultures in the Central European context.
Students will acquire basic knowledge of the origin of human culture in the Stone Age and its artifact heritage.

Oral examination, Written examination

Oral and written exam, credit will be given for active presentation and participation in seminars.
