Course content

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to strengthen students´ communicative skills and competencies in the standard French language at the level of C1 according to the Common European Framework for Languages and to develop their skills towards the level C2.
Students should be able to understand different discourses and lectures, different TV programs and films, longer and complicated factual texts and also classical and contemporary prosaic texts. They should be able to recognize stylistic nuances of French texts, they should be able to explain their opinions in form of perfectly structured exposé, including professional topics and they should also be able to participate in different types of discussions, to use fluently idiomatic and colloquial phrases. They should be also able to write a clear, faultless and consistent argumentative text, review, editorial etc. They should be able to choose an appropriate style of their writing and to master the techniques of commentaire composé and bases of the techniques of dissertation.

Oral examination, Written examination, Essay, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills
