Course content
Students will work throughout the semester with thematically and linguistically diverse materials, selected on an ongoing basis, which will be available in the e-learning course on the Moodle platform.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to strengthen students´ communicative skills and competencies in the standard French language at the level of C1 according to the Common European Framework for Languages and to develop their skills towards the level C2.
The student will understand a wide range of spoken discourse and lectures, television programs and films, as well as long and complex factual texts and works of both contemporary and classical prose. The student will recognize stylistic nuances in French texts. The student will explain and defend their viewpoint in the form of a well-structured presentation, including on specialized topics. The student will actively participate in discussions and use colloquial and idiomatic expressions fluently. The student will write clear, fluent, and accurate argumentative texts, reviews, editorials, etc. The student will master the technique of the commentaire composé and the basics of the dissertation.
