Course content
1. Syntactic relations. 2. Simple clause. 3. Clause constituents. 4. Incomplete phrase. 5. Word order.

Learning outcomes
The main objective of the course is to present to the students the basis of the syntax of simple clause of the French language from theoretical and practical perspective, confrontation of different approaches to syntactic descriptions. Practice of syntactic phenomena. Comparison of Czech and French syntactic structures. Students will also learn to exploit electronic corpora (Frantext, InterCorp, FrWac).
Students will understand the relations within complex sentences and apply them in analysis. Students will also learn to exploit electronic corpora (Frantext, InterCorp, FrWac).
Prerequisites
Knowledge of French language at least at the B2 common reference level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Compulsory assistance. Final test. Min. 66%. Number of attempts: two (one regular and one retake)
