Contemporary French culture. 7. French overseas territories. 8. The question of Francophony. French expansion in the world. Institutional structure. 9. Belgium - the coexistence of the Walloons and the Flemish, federalization and efforts to fully divide the country. 10. French-speaking regions of Switzerland. Luxembourg, Monaco. 11. Quebec - on the road to independence. 12. Francophone countries of North Africa. 13. Problems of French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is dedicated to French and Francophone civilisation. Attention will also be paid to some aspects of the economic and social development of different countries, issues of francophone identity, culture and lifestyle.
After completing the course the student should acquire a comprehensive idea of the political system of the French Republic, as well as of the everyday life of the French as well as the people of others Francophone states.
