Course content
During the first semester, the students will learn to orientate in simple everyday communicative situations i.e. to know how to greet, present oneself, give basic information about oneself, ask for directions, manage the conversation in a shop, restaurant etc. The content of the course will be based on the textbook used in the course.

Learning outcomes
The fist par of the basic course which objectives are: the progressive acquisition of the phonetic, grammatical and lexical bases and the development of the receptive and productive skills of the everyday spoken language.
Basic grammar knowledge, intermediate text comprehension, text interpretation,fluent expression within the frame of analysed themes.
Prerequisites
The course assumes any previous knowledge of Spanish.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

1) Regular-active participation (the student can have 3 missed classes) 2) Different tasks at home and during the lesson. 3) Written exam (the student has two attempts at the test (1 regular and 1 corrective). Exams and examinations will be written in the exam period according to the dates of the Faculty of Philosophy. Requirements for students participating in the Erasmus+ programme (learning mobility or traineeship): 1) Self-study of the material covered in class (possibility of pre-arranged consultations) 2) Completion of a credit test upon return from the placement/internship (within the deadline set by the timetable).
