Course content
The skills needed to achieve the level required in accordance with the specificity of philogics studies are: - Lexical and civilizational content - Reading - Listening - Production / written interaction - Production / oral interaction 1. The present indicative and first self-descriptions 2. Physical appearance, style, and character traits 3. Clothing styles and appearance codes 4. The body, beauty, and cosmetic surgery 5. Consumption and commercial strategies 6. Consumer profiles and responsible consumption 7. Minimalism and new lifestyles 8. Studies, schooling, and the education system 9. Alternative pedagogies and the specific features of education 10. Studying abroad and the Erasmus programme 11. New technologies, communication, and generations 12. Screens, digital uses, and addictions 13. The internet, online relationships, and everyday life

Learning outcomes
- The student develops their language competences and communicative activities from the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which corresponds to the entry level of students admitted to the programme, with the aim of progressively reaching the B1 level. - The student strengthens their comprehension of spoken and written texts corresponding to the A2/B1 levels. - The student improves their ability to produce spoken and written discourse that is clear, simple, coherent, and appropriate to everyday communicative situations. - The student develops the ability to take part in interaction and to express needs, opinions, and experiences in a comprehensible and increasingly autonomous way. - The student deepens their ability to organise, reformulate, and convey information from a range of different documents.

Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills

1. Regular attendance 2. Homeworks 3. Regular vocabulary tests 4. Final written assignment. 5. Possibility of exemption from the final test on presentation of a DELF diploma and under certain conditions.
