Course content
List of grammatical themes: orthography and pronunciation ; gender and number; verbs "to be" and "to have"; c'?/ ci sono ; basic numerals; adjectives ; verbal conjugations in present tense; prepositions (basic use); some irregular verbs; modal verbs; past compound; future tense simple and compound List of active competences: introducing ; providing personal informations ; Greetings ; describing well-known issues; writing email; asking for informations; accepting/refusing invitations; thanking; expressing uncertainty and doubt; talking about past events; ordering at a bar or in a restaurant; talking about future plans List of conversational themes: Traffic; Leisure time; Bar and restaurants; Coffee; Celebrations; Weather

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to improve and develop students' language competences according to the level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Active communication skills in Italian (level A1 of the European framework).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Test

For getting credits is required the fulfilment of: 1. Regular and active attendance (15% tolerance of absences) 2. Delivery of written works according to teacher's instructions 3. Passing final test assessing the acquisition of grammar competencies 4. Passing oral conversation about a topic. Min. points 66%. Max. 3 attempts.
