Course content
1. Nouns, basic morphological, semantic and syntactic properties. Noun flection. 2. Adjectives, basic morphological and semantic properties. Central and periphery syntactic functions. Flection. 3. Determinants (articles, numerical, possessive, demonstrative, interrogative, relative, indefinite). Basic forms and functions. 4. Pronouns (personal, possessive, demonstrative, interrogative, relative, indefinite, numerical). Basic forms and functions.

Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to provide a systematic survey of French grammar system, with the focus on inflectional morphology (formation of correct forms and their use) and basic syntactic rules.
Systemization of French grammar skills.
Prerequisites
No special prerequisites.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Regular attendance at seminars (no more that 3 absences). Active participation in seminars. Home study. Completing two written examinations (67 %). Final exam schedules will be given in the exam period according to the academic calendar of Faculty of Philosophy JU.
